The LAAS lab (the LAAS, one of the biggest French laboratories in robotics) is opening a position for an experienced programmer to develop a Blender Game Engine-based simulator for robotics.
We intend to rely on the Game Engine to create a set of realistic simulated sensors and actuators, with a strong network layer to allow multiple robots to share the same simulated environment.
This will be a part of an academic research program, and everything will be, of course, fully open-sourced. We need something operational before next summer, so first results should arrive quite quickly.
To summarize, we are looking for a Blender activist who is willing to spend a year in the South of France (Toulouse), programming on Blender.
Details of the position are here [PDF].
Salary will be around 2500 euros/month.
